This is a solid brass branch bender made in Japan. It is a specialty tool. It is used for contorting the trunks or branches of your bonsai. It is clamped over the branch and by tightening the screw every few days, pressure is brought to bear in the center and the branch is curved inward. The center to center width on this bender is 2 1/2".
